zeze Pumpkin Silvervine Cat Toy — Crinkly Plush Pumpkin with Chew Stick

zeze Pumpkin Silvervine Cat Toy — Crinkly Plush Pumpkin with Chew Stick

Silvervine Stick · Crinkle Paper Inside · Short Plush

A round orange pumpkin in short plush, with a green felt leaf, wide embroidered eyes and a small yellow pom-pom nose. A silvervine stick stands in for the stalk.

Silvervine is the dried stem of a climbing plant from East Asia, known in Japan as matatabi. Many cats react to it with rolling, rubbing and chewing, including some who ignore catnip, though not every cat does. Here the stick is something to bite and hold, and the crinkle paper inside rustles when the pumpkin is batted or pounced on, which tends to keep a cat coming back to it.

It is filled with polyester fibre, so it stays soft and squashable, the kind of toy that ends up carried from room to room.
